Defence
Defence software, built to contract.
Sensor fusion, autonomy and decision software for allied defence and government programmes. Built to each contract, delivered as code, with a person in charge of every action.
01 / Common operating picture
One live picture. Land, sea and air.
Every sensor on the network fused into a single picture: tracks, classes and confidence, kept current and shared. The console below is a simulation on a synthetic scene.
02 / Autonomous swarm command
AEY Swarm.
Command software for teams of uncrewed aircraft. One operator sets the goal, the coordinator plans and shares out the work, and the fleet rotates through charging so coverage never drops. In development.
How the swarm thinks
Onboard software on every drone. One coordinator on the ground.
A hybrid design. Each drone carries compact onboard models, so it can see, listen and react on its own, even with the radio link gone. A larger coordinator at the ground station plans the mission and shares the work out. A person approves the plan before anything flies.
- 01Operator
Speaks the goal.
"Hold the northern approach until 06:00 and report any vehicle movement." Plain language, by voice or text.
- 02Coordinator · ground station
Plans and delegates.
The coordinator breaks the goal into tasks, sizes sectors to each drone's battery, and builds the shift rotation. It re-plans as drones rotate or drop out.
- 03Human approval
A person signs off.
The plan, the geofence and the flight area are shown for approval. Nothing launches without it, and the operator can stop or recall any drone at any time.
- 04Onboard models · each drone
Flies, sees, reacts.
Vision to recognise what it is looking at, voice to take spoken commands and describe what it sees, and fast reflexes for obstacles, geofence and battery that keep working if the link drops.
- 05Report back
Findings, on the record.
Coverage maps, counts and flagged anomalies return to the operator to judge. Every plan, approval, command and finding goes into the audit log.
If the link drops, each drone finishes or holds its current safe task inside the geofence and returns home on its own reserve. It never takes on new tasks without the coordinator and the operator.
- Persistent area watchSectors held around the clock, with relief in place before any aircraft leaves station.
- ISR collectionCoverage planned without gaps, with a live map of what has been seen and how recently.
- Logistics resupplyLoads routed to the point of need, with the plan approved before launch.
- Search and rescueLarge areas divided and searched in parallel, with finds sent to the operator.
- Works on a weak linkOnboard models keep each aircraft safe and on task when the link is degraded or lost.
- Open protocolsBuilt for MAVLink and open autopilots, where the platform supports them.
AEY Swarm is unarmed command and coordination software, in development. It carries no weapons and is not built to.
03 / Counter-drone and base protection
Find small drones early.
Detection and tracking of small uncrewed aircraft, fused from radar, cameras, thermal and acoustic sensors, and cued to an operator with bearing, height and track.
- Counter-drone sensingLow, slow and small objects separated from birds and clutter, tracked and handed to the operator to assess.
- AEY SightSoftware that turns the cameras already on a base or critical site into one network: one track across every camera, perimeter and after-hours cues, plain-language footage search. Footage stays on site. In development.
- Camera to droneA camera cue can send an AEY Swarm aircraft for a closer look, once a person approves it.
04 / Maritime and border
Every vessel, out to the horizon.
Vessel tracking across radar, imagery and transponder data, and a flag when a vessel goes quiet on one of them.
- Vessel trackingEvery contact kept as one track across sensors and handovers.
- Dark-ship detectionVessels seen on radar or imagery but silent on transponder, flagged for review.
- Coastline and border watchLong lines held under persistent watch, with crossings cued to the operator.
05 / ISR triage at scale
Less footage for analysts to sit through.
Satellite imagery and full-motion video sorted before an analyst sees them, so attention goes where something changed.
- Change detectionNew, moved or missing objects between passes, marked and ranked for the analyst.
- Full-motion video triageLong feeds cut down to the moments where something happens, each with the clip and why it was flagged.
07 / Mission planning and simulation
Test the plan before it flies.
Mission plans tested in simulation before they are flown: wargaming against an adaptive opponent, and Monte Carlo runs that show where a plan holds and where it breaks.
08 / Defence-grade cyber
Protect the network it runs on.
REAPER, our defensive cyber layer in development, is designed to detect an intrusion fast, contain it, and keep a record that cannot be quietly edited.
Human on the loop
The software detects. A person decides.
Built to allied doctrine on human control: our software detects, tracks and recommends, and every action is taken by an accountable person. We do not build weapons guidance, fire control or autonomous engagement.
Contract work
How an engagement runs.
- 01 Scope The problem, the sensors, the operating rules, and who supplies and runs the hardware, settled before any build.
- 02 Prototype Built and measured on synthetic data first, then on data the client supplies.
- 03 Evaluate Field trials flown and run by the client's certified operators, against agreed measures.
- 04 Hand over Code, models and documentation delivered to run on the client's own infrastructure, with updates after.
